Position Available: Technology and New Media Outreach Associate

Position Summary: State Policy Network seeks an excellent individual to serve as our Technology and New Media Outreach Associate.

Job Duties May Include:

• working with the Management and Technology Advisor to create and deploy new technology initiatives
• defining technology development projects for the benefit of our member organizations and free market endeavors
• serving as a liaison to technology and communications contacts throughout the United States
• coordinating technology learning, discussion and development retreats and seminars
• developing new media best practices and using new media as a promotional and outreach tool
• other projects on an as-needed basis

Education and Experience Required:

• passion for learning new things and ability to learn them quickly
• honed technological skills from a hardware/software/database/web development perspective
• excellent organization and communication skills
• project management or other management experience and ability
• Bachelor's degree and 2 - 4 years practical work experience in a technology or communications position
• ability to make the Vulcan Peace Sign with ease
• interest in advocating free market ideas
• demonstrated success with new media or on other technological projects a plus

Years of Experience Preferred: 2-4 years Estimated Travel: 30%
