State Policy Network sends its deepest condolences to our friends The Cato Institute.
We are saddened by the news that our friend and esteemed free market movement leader David Boaz passed away on June 7. As befitting someone who had such an impact on the world, tributes have been appearing throughout the week by the many people who were inspired and improved by David’s writings, talks, and coaching.
After the passing of the great architect, Christopher Wren, his son inscribed the words, “Lector, si monumentum requiris, circumspice,” which, translated, says “Reader, if you seek a monument, look around.” If we look around our Network, we see the many leaders David helped to build and inspire. He will be missed, and his legacy is great.
Visit the Cato Institute’s excellent tribute to learn more about David and his contributions as well as read the many remembrances of his colleagues.
We at SPN offer our condolences to his colleagues, friends, and those that will miss him.
