State Policy Network
America At Its Best – Live at Annual Meeting: Education Reform

SPN’s Annual Meeting is the premier gathering of organizations dedicated to solving problems at the state and local level. Not only do we bring together our state partners, but this event attracts leaders from our vast network of national organizations who work together with our partners on the ground in the states to advance policy solutions.

One of our key network partners in the fight for more education opportunities is the American Federation for Children. This year, more education reforms passed than in the last decade, and it is in no small part because of the collaboration between these national and state groups. In this interview, AFC’s national director of research and frequent media commentator Corey DeAngelis talks about trends in education reform this past year and what’s on the horizon for 2022.

Bringing state and national leaders together is what fuels the success of the movement. As Corey said in the interview: “This is really the place where the conversations happen that spark change in policy reform in the long run, which will lead to empowering more families to have options for their children when it comes to education and other areas of life as well. This is where the magic happens, and this is why I look forward to it year over year.”
