America At Its Best: Fighting Poverty and Joblessness through Welfare Reform
One of the biggest obstacles to fighting poverty and joblessness is our nation’s broken welfare system. The Georgia Center for Opportunity has developed a one-of-a-kind model to measure the impact of “benefits cliffs” in the system that discourage workers from advancing in their careers and keep them locked in a cycle of poverty.
Now, GCO’s model has the attention of policymakers and businesses eager to fix the worker shortage crisis in America and help people improve their overall wellbeing through meaningful job opportunities.
