America’s Future Foundation (AFF) empowers rising generations to lead America towards a freer future, and an informed and engaged citizenry is crucial to that success. That’s why many of AFF’s chapters are teaming up with experts on issues of importance to young voters that are likely to come up in the legislative sessions, as well as issues to watch out for during this election year.

AFF-Mississippi Gulf Coast held a legislative overview featuring the state director for Americans for Prosperity Foundation, diving into several issues that appeared in Mississippi’s campaigns last year—such as infrastructure, raising the gasoline tax, and the expansion of Medicaid—and what might happen this year as the governor and lieutenant governor disagree on some of those issues.

AFF’s Columbus chapter will be joined by Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose and former Chairman of the Federal Elections Commission and Capital University Law School Professor Bradley Smith to discuss Ohio’s efforts to ensure voter rolls and election infrastructure are secure from potential threats for the coming election.

Chapters in Jackson (MS), Milwaukee, Rhode Island, and Dallas will all host events exploring education and school choice in their states featuring experts from organizations like Empower Mississippi, Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, the Rhode Island Center for Freedom & Prosperity, and the Foundation for Government Accountability.

AFF-Detroit will feature a fascinating discussion on the Overton Window and how change and social movements affect policymaking, facilitated by Mackinac Center Executive Vice President Michael Reitz.

With millennials and Gen Z poised to be the largest voting block in 2020, engaging these young professionals with free-market ideas is more important than ever. Organizations interested in reaching this key audience with free-market ideas are welcome to reach out to AFF at info@americasfuture.org for more information on event or chapter partnerships.
