State Policy Network (SPN) is excited to welcome Brooke Medina as its new Vice President of Communications. Medina brings a wealth of experience to SPN, having previously served as the Vice President of Communications at the John Locke Foundation, a North Carolina-based think tank and affiliate of SPN.
A graduate of Regent University, Medina holds a B.A. in Government and a minor in English. During college, she participated in the Koch Leaders Program and Koch Communications Fellowship, gaining expertise in market-based management and classical liberalism. She is also a member of the American Enterprise Institute’s Leadership Network.
In her new role, Medina will lead SPN’s communications strategy, ensuring the organization’s mission, values, and impact resonate with key audiences. She will also serve as SPN’s on-the-record spokesperson and oversee marketing and outreach efforts to engage the media, donors, and the Network.
Rebecca Painter, SPN’s Senior Vice President, emphasized the value Medina brings to the organization:
“With a career dedicated to the liberty movement and a commitment to integrity and excellence, Brooke has a proven track record of elevating organizational strategy, leading effective teams and driving meaningful engagement. Her leadership and vision will bring fresh energy to SPN, and she will make a strong addition to our Leadership Team.”
Medina expressed her excitement about joining SPN:
“SPN is an unparalleled organization that occupies an incredibly strategic and essential place in the liberty movement. It is an honor to join this organization of talented professionals. I’m especially excited to be part of SPN’s top-notch communications team as we work together to amplify our Network’s successes, highlighting the critical work our Affiliates are doing to advance liberty across the nation. Our Affiliates are on the ground in their capitals and communities, defending the enduring principles that make our American experiment successful. I am proud to serve them.”
Welcome to SPN, Brooke!
