With President Trump requesting that every federal agency cut 5 percent of its budget next year, experts are using the Heritage Foundation’s Blueprint for Balance to offer up suggestions to agencies. The blueprint is full of recommendations that Congress and Federal Agencies could use to balance the budget.

Heritage continues to promote a plan forward for healthcare policy called the Health Care Choices Proposal. This proposal would replace Obamacare and give more responsibility and flexibility to states. It is now supported by 90 organizations and healthcare influencers, including 26 state-based think tanks. If your think tank would like a briefing or more information about this proposal, please reach out to Meridian Paulton at meridian.paulton@heritage.org.

Heritage also hosted its Annual Anti-Poverty Summit at its headquarters in Washington, DC. The forum focused on healthcare, religious liberty, and adoption. As always, Heritage is working to place qualified conservative candidates in the administration and on Capitol Hill. If you know of any good candidates, please bring them to Heritage’s attention.

The Heritage Foundation honored Neomi Rao, administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, with the Heritage Young Leaders Program’s Distinguished Alumni Award. Neomi joins the ranks of previous award recipients, Arkansas senator Tom Cotton and Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List.
