JMI sets the pace for liberty, freedom, and opportunity for all Floridians

In recent years, Florida policymakers have begun substantive dialogues on topics such as how to positively address the challenges in healthcare access and provision, beginning to right-size the criminal justice system, adapting a 20th century regulatory system to 21st century technology and innovation, protecting private property rights, and how to reform the education system to meet every student’s unique needs.

With the economic freedom and prosperity Floridians enjoy, the Florida experiment is clearly working! There have been many victories for limited government, economic prosperity, and liberty, but there is still much to be done.

The James Madison Institute released “20 for 20: 20 Ways We Will Protect Florida Prosperity in 2020.” Some of the items on JMI’s list of resolutions to advance liberty in Florida are:

Florida continues to be an aggressive state in advancing conservative governing principles. It’s JMI’s hope that with the help of our members, donors, and friends across the country, JMI will continue to set the pace for liberty, freedom, and opportunity for all Floridians.

The mission of the James Madison Institute is to promote economic prosperity through advancing the principles of the free market, limited government, and greater individual liberty. JMI remains steadfast in the belief that an ongoing commitment to limiting the footprint of government control in our lives, pursuing free markets through competition, protecting private property, and expanding the ability of parents to choose the best educational settings for their children will continue to make the Sunshine State a beacon of liberty and prosperity for the rest of the world.
