The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) is seeking an intern to join our policy team for the Spring 2021 and Summer 2021 semesters. By joining our team, you can help WILL develop timely policy reports, research and communications that further liberty and the rule of law in Wisconsin. Depending on the applicant’s location and prior work history, remote work opportunities will be considered. This is a paid position.
The primary responsibilities of the policy intern will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Data collection
- Conduct research on various policies including education, healthcare reform and economic liberty
- Assist in open records requests to government entities
- Assist in writing op-eds for newspapers and online periodicals
- Basic graphic design tasks
WILL is looking for an individual that is a self-starter, organized, and trustworthy. Candidates must have a dedication to WILL’s mission. The ideal candidate would be an undergraduate or graduate student with a concentration in Economics, Political Science, Psychology, Communications/Journalism, or Statistics.
Strong writing skills and knowledge of basic data collection programs such as Excel are a must. Knowledge of more advanced data analysis software such as STATA, R, or SPSS is a plus. Proficiency in basic graphic design applications, such as Canva is also a plus.
