James Pinedo is a Marketing Manager at State Policy Network. He is responsible for implementing program marketing plans, managing editorial and production calendars for all SPN content and marketing products, and driving project timelines with outside vendors to meet deadlines. As a marketing professional and an artist, James is a storyteller. He works through his marketing efforts to tell stories that build stronger communities across the country.
As a data science nerd, he appreciates that the best marketing stories have the facts to back them up. Prior to SPN, James worked in marketing in the film and then legal industries. In addition to his background in marketing, James worked in the film industry with production roles in network and streaming television, feature films, ad agencies and ministries. James graduated with highest honors with a BA in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin and holds a certificate in Data Science from Harvard University.
Outside of his work, James has many interests, including exploring old bookstores with his wife, watching and playing baseball with his kids, and hosting a film and art podcast with his brother.
