Teresa Brown is State Policy Network’s Vice President of Talent, dedicated to helping the state-focused think tank network attract, develop, and retain the high-level talent needed to drive meaningful change.

Teresa previously served as a senior grant officer with the Searle Freedom Trust. She began her career in the free-market movement as the assistant to the late Leonard P. Liggio at the Atlas Economic Research Foundation and then served as Atlas’s director of public affairs and publications. Early in her career, Teresa worked as a journalist and newspaper editor before leaving the real world for academia, working as an adjunct professor of European History. Teresa holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and international affairs from Florida State University and did doctoral work in European history.
