In August 2019, the Steamboat Institute welcomed a capacity audience from 25 states and Washington DC to watch the nation’s thought and policy leaders in government, education, business, military, entertainment and media discuss the most pressing public policy and cultural issues facing Americans today.
The Freedom Conference is the only public policy conference to include:
The conference featured a keynote address by Professor Alan Dershowitz, opening remarks by Interior Secretary David Bernhardt, and a presentation from NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine. Stephen Moore of The Heritage Foundation engaged in a capitalism vs. socialism debate with Bhaskar Sunkara, author of The Socialist Manifesto, among dozens of other compelling panel discussions.
The Steamboat Institute Film Festival showcased six films that celebrate individual freedom, personal responsibility, the entrepreneurial American spirit, and the inspiration of faith and family through film. Each film was shown at the historic Wildhorse Cinema in Steamboat Springs and included remarks by actors and producers as well as an audience Q&A.
Steamboat hopes to see you in Steamboat Springs next year for the 12th Annual Freedom Conference and Festival on August 27-29, 2020.
