The show must go on…line!

As a result of the COVID-19 national emergency, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI) cancelled all of its student conferences and on-campus events for the spring. However, as an organization, ISI remains more active than ever, responding to this crisis by moving all in-person programming to online webinars.

Webinar topics have included “The Rise of the Administrative State,” “National Security and Just War,” “Start the Presses,” and “Should we Limit Free Speech?,” just to name a few. Each of these events are open to students on college campuses across the country, as well as faculty and alumni. ISI has also updated its extensive online lecture library. Students can now watch or listen to the most influential conservative thinkers of the past 70 years, including legendary figures like Russell Kirk, William F. Buckley Jr., F.A. Hayek, Ross Douthat, Peter Thiel, and Sir Roger Scruton.

ISI’s Intercollegiate Review and Modern Age also continue to expose students to the best of intellectual conservatism, with both publications exploring topics from humane economics and philosophy to politics and culture. Both resources are just a few ways students can continue their ISI experience online. ISI’s role has taken on a renewed seriousness of purpose in the midst of this unfortunate situation. Regardless of how long this emergency lasts, ISI will continue to fill the “supply chain” with the principled scholars and leaders America needs to solve tomorrow’s unforeseen problems.
