My colleague and I are working on a paper that makes recommendations for the CT legislature in terms of organizational/operational practices. Are there anythings your state does well? Or think it could do better process-wise?
We are focusing a lot of transparency and public access. One issue we have is our committee process is a little crazy, and definitely not transparent. An example of one of our recommendations is to require committees to publicly release the new version of a bill before they vote on it.
If anyone has other ideas, please share them!
