Policy Priorities Summary from Coronavirus Tracking Poll (Wave 17).
Throughout the pandemic about half of Americans have been
supportive that we continue to make progress on policy issues not related to
coronavirus such as education reform, economic policy and labor regulations.

In the most recent poll conducted by Heart+Mind Strategies on August 19-20, 2020, Americans continue to place Healthcare, the Economy, and Jobs and Unemployment as the top three most important issues facing the country today.
Among Republicans, Economy (46%) and Healthcare (36%) are the top issues, with National Security (24%), Jobs/Unemployment (23%), and Crime (21%) nearly neck-and-neck in terms of importance.
Democrats feel more strongly that Healthcare is the leading
issue (49%) followed by the Economy (31%). Jobs/Unemployment (26%), Race
Relations (25%), and Government Corruption (21%) are their remaining concerns.
Only 14% of Democrats think Crime is a top issue.
When it comes to regions of the country the top three issues
are:
Rural Americans consider the economy (42%) and healthcare
(40%) to be their top two issues. Crime is considered more of a top issue in
rural (23%) and suburban (19%) America than in urban (16%) areas.
Healthcare is the top concern for urban (43%) Americans over
the economy (35%), jobs/unemployment (22%) and education (22%).
Suburban issues are the economy (42%), healthcare (41%), and
jobs/unemployment (26%).
