Bestselling author Jonah Berger will headline SPN’s 28th Annual Meeting

It’s that time of year again! As we look forward to connecting at SPN’s 28th Annual Meeting on August 31–September 3, we are excited to start unveiling our plenary speakers and programs. SPN is pleased to announce bestselling author Jonah Berger will headline our lunchtime plenary session on Tuesday, September 1.

“Virality isn’t luck. It’s not magic. And it’s not random. There’s a science behind why people talk and share. A recipe. A formula, even.”

How to make your organization’s ideas as popular as hand sanitizer

What if your organization’s ideas could be front-of-mind with the public and policymakers alike? What if the media was constantly featuring your recommendations and everyone wanted your input? Basically, what if your work was in as high demand as hand sanitizer? It could be.

Changing our communities, states, nation, and even the world, for the better means nonprofits need to be reaching larger audiences and delivering their messages in ways that open hearts and change minds. Berger, an expert on viral marketing, social influence, and how products, ideas, and behaviors catch on, will address how these principles impact think tanks’ work, and how organizations can adjust their communication and outreach strategies to increase their impact.

SPN member organizations have already benefited from Berger’s insights and attendees can anticipate leaving the plenary session with ideas that can immediately be applied to their work.

“Jonah Berger stands out as a voice that matters in the marketing space. His groundbreaking books have help me and my team spread messages effectively, remove obstacles to change, and win the battles that matter.” — Dustin Hurst, Communication Director, Idaho Freedom Foundation
