Mission Statement

The Center for Independent Thought seeks to expand awareness of individual liberty, free markets, and peace. CIT works with teachers, scholars, and free-market organizations to develop critical thinking and bring the ideas of liberty and personal responsibility to freedom-loving people around the globe. CIT is the parent organization of Stossel TV, a video production team that promotes liberty and free markets on social media, and Stossel in the Classroom, an educational organization that promotes critical thinking in schools by providing teachers materials that encourage student understanding of liberty.
