Rebecca Painter is a Senior Vice President for the State Policy Network, where she is a part of the Leadership Team that drives overall strategy of the organization. In addition, she serves as a liaison between State Policy Network and its investors and drives State Policy Network’s development strategy and operation. From 2012-2014, Rebecca served as Donor Relations Manager for State Policy Network. Before rejoining State Policy Network in August 2017, Rebecca served as Senior Development Officer at Norwich University where she was responsible for raising major gifts towards a $100 million campaign goal. Rebecca holds fifteen years of development experience and has spent a collective eleven years raising funds for the freedom movement.
Prior to that her first role with SPN, Rebecca spent four years as Director of Development for the South Carolina Policy Council. Rebecca has built high performing development teams. She has designed and implemented fundraising programs for major gifts, foundation giving, and membership programs. She has also established high-dollar direct mail initiatives and executed a wide variety of fundraising events.
Rebecca graduated from University of South Carolina, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications and a minor in French. She resides with her husband and two year old son in Charleston, South Carolina.
