SPN’s Ed-Prize Application Now Open! 

State Policy Network is pleased to announce the application for the 2024 Ed-Prize is now open.  

Ed-Prize inspires and accelerates new solutions to improve education outcomes across the country. Through grant funding and other support, the program helps entrepreneurs and innovators bring new education approaches to life—creating a brighter future for American families and students. 

Since 2020, State Policy Network has invested in ambitious, innovative projects. Thanks to the generosity of the Arthur N. Rupe Foundation, the Challenge Foundation, the Walton Family Foundation, and Stand Together Trust, winners of Ed-Prize advance flexible learning models, drive accountability through transparency, empower education entrepreneurs, and improve performance in K-12 education programs and finances.  

Who Should Apply to Ed-Prize?  

Community leaders, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, state think tanks, and other organizations working to reimagine teaching and learning are encouraged to apply.

What do Winners Receive?  

Grant award amounts range from $20,000 to $75,000 and winners meet with SPN staff quarterly to report on progress during the 12-month period of the grant. The 2024 Ed-Prize winners will be recognized at State Policy Network’s 32nd Annual Meeting in Phoenix on August 19-22, 2024. Last year’s winners were Canary Academy, Let Grow, and Red Bridge Education. Learn more about their inspiring projects here

When is the Deadline for Applications?  

The competition occurs in two rounds: A first round that includes a short application soliciting basic information (opens March 4, 2024, closes April 5, 2024). A second, invitation only follows the first round and requires a more detailed application (invited applicants will receive notice by April 22, 2024).
