America At Its Best – Live at Annual Meeting: The Next Generation of Leaders
At SPN’s 29th Annual Meeting, we gathered leaders across all 50 states who are dedicated to solving problems and empowering states to make the best decisions for their citizens without undue power from Washington, DC. As part of our programming, we also use this opportunity to bring together talented individuals who are new to the world of state-based policy reform and those who are early in their careers looking for networking and professional development opportunities.
SPN’s Generation Liberty Fellows program provides a unique way for young professionals (ages 21-30) in all career fields to meet others who care about solving problems in their states and communities. Fellows get full access to SPN’s Annual Meeting, private events, networking opportunities, and become a part of a vast alumni network of over 500 leaders across the country.
Leah Nalepa, who manages professional development at Hillsdale College, shared her experience as a fellow and the importance of bringing in younger generations who are passionate about the ideas of liberty.
We also spoke to Peter Lipsett, Vice President of DonorsTrust, who brought members of their Novus Society to Annual Meeting. The Novus Society cultivates the next generation of philanthropists (age 40 and under) who care about public policy ideas and want to be more engaged and collaborative in their philanthropic endeavors.
