State Policy Network is pleased to welcome Debi Ghate as Executive Fellow. In this new role, she will work to build community engagement and forge strategic partnerships.

“Debi is a longtime friend and ally of SPN so we’re pleased she’ll be consulting with us as we deepen our roots and develop networks of networks in the states,” said SPN President Tracie Sharp. “Her relationships with individuals and groups outside of our existing Network will expand our community engagement capabilities.”

Prior to joining State Policy Network, Ms. Ghate served as the Philanthropy Roundtable’s Vice President of Strategy and Programs. As a trained lawyer, she practiced litigation in Ontario, Canada, before moving to the United States to oversee education and policy programs at the Ayn Rand Institute. She is a veteran foundation leader and grants and community engagement manager, who has worked with at The Snider Foundation, the Charles Koch Foundation, and the Anthem Foundation for Objectivist Scholarship. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Empire Center for Public Policy.

Debi received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Biology, and French at the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Calgary.
