Introducing the Generation Liberty Scholarship

For years, SPN’s Generation Liberty Fellowship has invested in rising talent—identifying and connecting young professionals across the nation. The program boasts nearly 700 esteemed alumni who now work in government, nonprofits, the private sector, and the freedom movement. SPN currently has two alumni of the program on staff, Joe Rupert and Taylor Anderson, who attended the program while they were working with one of our Network partners.

“I attended the Generation Liberty Fellowship early in my career and it gave me a huge leg up,” said Taylor. “I was able to connect with like-minded peers to learn about networking and professional development, and made connections that I still use today.”

In 2025, SPN is reintroducing the program as the Generation Liberty Scholarship—a grant opportunity that allows SPN to continue to support young professionals in a meaningful, flexible way that adapts to the current environment and meets the demand for a talent pipeline. The Generation Liberty Scholarship allows us to continue to engage with this critically important group of young people while also giving SPN the flexibility of scaling the program as funds are raised. Those who apply and are accepted for the scholarship will receive reimbursements to help offset the cost of attending their first Annual Meeting, as well as complimentary registration.

SPN’s commitment to connecting and strengthening leaders who want to solve problems and improve lives at the state and local level cannot be understated. This new scholarship opportunity allows us to continue cultivating rising talent to foster the next generation of state policy leaders.
