Libertas Institute has been pushing for regulatory sandboxes to create a mechanism whereby the state can reduce or waive regulations for a wide range of industries and policies. Regulatory sandboxes are unique legal classifications that create space for regulators to temporarily freeze regulations and criminal penalties for a defined time period. Libertas just secured a sandbox for the insurance industry, and now they are pursuing the vision of an industry-agnostic sandbox that allows any business owner to comply with lower regulations in order to serve the market more quickly and affordably.
