The Beacon Center responds to the COVID-19 crisis
We are certainly living in trying times. Between the recent tornadoes that ravaged many of Tennessee’s communities to the coronavirus and related economic fallout, Beacon’s team and supporters all have a great deal on our minds right now.
In response, Beacon has compiled resources—both in our own writing, original videos, and articles from across the web—on a dedicated COVID-19 response page. Part of that page includes 20 health-related and economic-related solutions to both protect public health in the short-run, while ensuring that Tennesseans have jobs to go back to when all this is over.
In addition, Beacon has made a point to find the good in this crisis and praise it. Through sharing uplifting articles on social media, spending time on the podcast talking about places we find joy, and creating entertaining and informative videos each week, supporters and followers of Beacon know that we are still around and aren’t going anywhere.
Beacon’s work on coronavirus solutions has been recognized and praised by elected officials across the political spectrum, statewide media outlets, national partners, and supporters. Throughout this crisis and the time of rebuilding that will follow, Beacon is positioned to be the organization that government officials look to for solutions and Tennesseans look to for hope.
