Announcements

In Ohio, opponents of school choice have filed a sham lawsuit in an attempt to deny parents the freedom to find the best educational option for their children. The Buckeye Institute, and other school choice advocates, are working together to oppose this latest attempt to deny freedom of school choice to Ohio’s families.

The Buckeye Institute filed its reply brief in the Supreme Court of the United States outlining why an emergency stay is urgently needed in Buckeye’s OSHA vaccine mandate case—Phillips v. OSHA. Oral arguments before the US Supreme Court on the question of an emergency stay of the vaccine mandate are set for Friday, January 7.

The Caesar Rodney Instituteencouraged Delaware legislators to join Virginia in pulling out of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative program or suffer the consequences of possible job losses, losses in state and local revenues, higher electric rates, and lower power reliability for Delaware.

After immense pressure and relentless, dogged investigative journalism by the John Locke Foundation’s Carolina Journal, an amicus brief co-filed by Locke, and a specially branded podcast miniseries called Extreme Injustice, the scheme to forcibly remove two Republican NC Supreme Court justices has finally been called off.

Linda Combs, North Carolina’s Treasury Controller, has rightfully sought legal redress to bar Governor Cooper’s violation of the separation of powers in the years’ long Leandro case, which the John Locke Foundation has written and spoken about extensivelyAmy Cooke, Locke CEO, explains exactly what happened in her latest Locke’d and Loaded video

The Josiah Bartlett Center for Public Policy highlighted how the New Hampshire Legislature is considering a bill that would empower voters to create Education Freedom Accounts at the school district level.

For a year and a half, the University of Michigan has refused to release information it provided to the Whitmer administration that contributed to Michigan’s strict COVID-19 lockdown orders. In the latest victory for transparency and the Mackinac Center Legal Foundation, the Michigan Court of Claims ordered that the University of Michigan release previously redacted documents in full.
